| Staff development
through assessment focuses on measuring the competence and performance
of staff in their jobs. Measurement of competence is set against
national occupational standards using the Scottish and National
Vocational Qualifications (S/NVQs) frameworks. Staff undertake
a Vocational Qualification which is appropriate to their industry
sector, their job role and level. Assessment takes place “in
company” and measures effective skills and competence
against set criteria. Throughout the process staff are asked
to identify factors critical to their job success therefore
improving business performance. As
a result the process not only delivers a vocational qualification
for the individual but also a culture of continuous improvement
across the organisation.
Intec employs a team of Assessors who operate
throughout the UK delivering qualifications in the following
